On the 6th of Feb 2014, Musicians known as Lukas, John, Lenny & Paulie from the internationally renowned Oz band Justice Crew (who
started out as a dance group that won the Australian TV show - Australia's Got
Talent in 2010) travelled over 4 hours on their day off from Sydney to rural
Gorokan to help make 1 brave little girls special wish come true.
When I heard about this from a friend who
works closely with another friend and who then happened to work closely with
the Justice Crew boys... An awesome blog title was in
ORDER and I felt that the story needed to be shared to the world.
Not only did I feel deeply proud to be
living in a country where we have opportunities to become celebrities by
following what we are genuinely passionate about, BUT It is truly amazing to be part of a
time, when we hear things like "Police officers helping children and
families to be happy", and stories like "these bunch of guys on TV
setting out and make people happy on their day off." (When they don't
really have to) - Who does that these days? - Only in Australia!
I think it is just cool that Justice Crew can
do that and continues to do that, it sets a great example for others who are
aspiring to become great superstars. - I feel the qualities the Justice Crew
boys display is what immortalizes a celebrity from good to great! - Bloody
amazing.
Brian Pearce who travelled with the boys mentioned
in an interview that it all started with the help of Gosford Police who
made the efforts to reach out to Brian and explained that they were helping little
Desiree make some of her special wishes come true (to meet Justice Crew). Brian
then simply continued the flow by checking if the guys were in Australia to
make the visit possible and if they were able to somehow fit it in (which
happened to be only on their day off). - Brian said that "it is always
tricky to lock the guys down because they get so busy, but when they promise
they will do something, they always deliver." - And deliver they did!
Brian was able to send me over some photos
from the event, and the photos only speak for themselves. I can only imagine
how happy little Desiree would have been inside meeting Australia's coolest
dudes! The photos really show how happy everyone was on the day. - One of
Brian's business clients (Soozhielsplace
Travel) also heard about the visit and also helped to add happiness and joy
to the day by gifting little Desiree & family a 5 night hotel visit in one
of their selected luxury resorts. - Wow!
All this great happiness and joy emerging
from one caring & passionate constable who Brian knew by the name of Kath
Hawkins from the Gosford Police department
who just wanted to do what she can to help make Desiree wishes come true. - A super Angel on Earth!
The blog tittle (good deeds from cool
dudes..) is a slight understatement and a little inaccurate as there were a
number of people involved (not necessarily dudes) to make this happy occasion transpire. Justice Crew's
generosity with their time and the care of Kath Hawkins transcends to GREAT! Deeds!
but for sake of future posts in mind, I felt that "good deeds" will
have to suffice to encapsulate the many good deeds from many future cool dudes
that will be listed in this blog for 2014.
Truly an amazing bunch of people who
banded together to help one little girl and her family feel joy and happiness.
- Very priceless and can only be described as very Australian! - Very proud to
be an Aussie!
